Dr. Shahinian always wanted to work in healthcare. For him, dentistry sounded like the perfect fit because it would allow him to work with his hands while interacting with each patient one-on-one. He also liked that through dentistry, he could make an immediate and long-lasting difference in his patients’ lives.
Dr. Shahinian graduated from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, after which he attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at NYU/Lutheran Medical Center. He is trained and certified to provide Invisalign and keeps himself up to date on the changing world of dentistry through regular continuing education. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Shahinian has a lovely wife and baby girl to whom he dedicates most of his free time. He is a classically trained pianist and also plays guitar and writes music. To stay active, he enjoys hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
